STEP is het Student Trainee Exchange Programme van ELSA dat studenten en jonge juristen de kans biedt om ervaring uit het beroepsleven uit het buitenland op te doen en een nieuwe cultuur te leren kennen.

 

De buitenlandse stages kunnen variëren in periode van twee weken tot achttien maanden en kan in elke rechten gerelateerde omgeving plaatsvinden bijvoorbeeld op advocatenbureaus, rechtbanken, universiteiten, banken en internationale organisaties.Elk jaar biedt ELSA verschillende stagemogelijkheden over heel Europa aan, hierbij helpt ELSA met het vinden van huisvesting, aanvragen van visas (indien nodig) en de sociale activiteiten die de stagiair iets meer bekend maken in de omgeving.

 

Waarom STEP?

- Je doet juridische ervaring op in de praktijk,
- Je krijgt de kans om kennis te maken met een buitenlandse taal, cultuur en rechtssysteem,
- Je kan zelf aangeven welk land je voorkeur heeft,
- Je krijgt een stagevergoeding en wordt volledig begeleid,
- Je wordt begeleid door de lokale ELSA-groep,
- Je bepaalt zelf hoe lang je stage wilt lopen.

Study in London with a scholarship from Queen Mary School of Law!

 

The LLM Partner of ELSA, Queen Mary School of Law, offers a variety of scholarship opportunities, available to law students interested in developing their professional and academic skills.

 

The School of Law, comprising the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS) and the Department of Law at Queen Mary, University of London is offering over £170,000 of scholarships and bursaries available for postgraduate law students for the 2012-13 academic year.

The opportunities are described below:

 

12 LL.M. Scholarships - QMUL will be offering 6 full-tuition LL.M. scholarships for UK/EU students, and an additional 6 full-tuition LL.M. scholarships for non-EU students. Three of each type of scholarship (home/EU and overseas) will be awarded by CCLS and the Department of Law respectively.

 

The deadline for applying online for the LLM programme to be considered for a scholarship is March 1, 2012

3 MSc Law and Finance Bursaries - These bursaries worth between £3,300 and £5,300 will be awarded to qualified home and overseas students accepted to the MSc Law and Finance Programme

 

The MSc programme is offered jointly by the Centre for Commercial Law Studies and the School of Economics and Finance. Students on this programme follow LL.M. modules and other taught modules in accounting, economics, and finance.

 

Scholarship applications are due on June 1, 2012.

New LLM in Law and Economics -2 Bursaries. A new interdisciplinary LL.M. programme in Law and Economics will start in September 2012,  taught jointly by the Centre for Commercial Law Studies and the University's School of Economics and Finance.

 

The programme will offer two sub-level pathways: a jurisprudence pathway for those with a legal background or undergraduate degree in law; and an economics pathway for those with an economic/finance background or undergraduate degree in economics or finance. According to the university, students will have the opportunity to engage in an academic year-long Investment Club, where they can gain hands-on experience in trading and portfolio analysis alongside their studies.

The school has also announced two bursaries: a £7,500 bursary for a non-EU student and a £5,000 bursary for a Home/EU student. For more information, please visit.
